Behnam Safavi (بهنام صفوی) was a talented Iranian Pop singer and composer who died on May 13 in 2019, at the age of 36.
Safavi was born on July 6, 1983, in Shiraz, Iran. He was the second child of a family of five with an older sister named Behnaz and a younger sister called Mehrnaz. His family moved to Bandare Mahshar two weeks after his birth and lived there until Behnam was 16 years old.

Behnam Safavi Childhood
His affection for his parents was strong.
His father has always been a significant source of encouragement for him, and Behnam has always appreciated him. Since Behnam’s childhood days, his father has been a source of motivation for him, and just talking to him provided him with peace and inspiration.
Additionally, Behnam’s mother has always supported him in his musical endeavors since he was a kid.
From an early age, Behnam Safavi discovered his talent in music. Because of his exceptional musical ability, he could perform on a variety of instruments.

Education
After graduating from high school, Behnam moved to Isfahan for higher education.
Having finished university, he decided to live in Tehran to focus on his music career.
While residing in Tehran, he started as a composer and arranger of songs before becoming a singer, who quickly rose to fame and became well known.
First Album
Safavi released his first official album called “Eshgh Man Bash” in 2009, which became one of the best, most popular, and best-selling in Iranian pop music history.
It was the success of his first single track, “Tamana,” in 2006 that inspired the recording of his first album, “Eshgh Man Bash,” which became quickly famous.
Marriage
Behnam married Hoda Khademi and has a son called Sam.
As Behnam said in an interview, marriage is one of the most important events in the lives of all human beings, and it has nothing to do with inhibiting job advancement, as many people believe.
He thought that marriage aids a man in his efforts to advance in his profession. He viewed marriage as a source of inspiration for living a more beautiful life.
Sickness
Behnam had been suffering from a brain tumor since 2013, and as cancer progressed, he was obliged to have surgery on the morning of July 20, 2015.
Shortly after the surgery, Safavi’s health improved significantly, and he even released a new album, “Miracle,” and performed at several concerts and shows.
But in 2017, his illness worsened again. This time, he traveled to Germany for treatment.
Majid Samii, a famous Iranian neurosurgeon, and medical scientist, at the INI Hospital in Hanover, Germany, had done the surgery.
As his health condition worsened again, he was admitted to Milad Hospital in Isfahan on April 17, 2019. After 27 days of hospitalization in this hospital and after enduring six years of illness, Behnam passed away on May 13, 2019.
